What are the main advantages of BCone over Lifebuoy pool alarms?
BCone offers extended range between Pool and Home Units, supports full remote control and alerts through the BCone App (Wi-Fi required), and includes a 3-year limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
What is the recommended pool size?
For optimal performance, BCone is recommended for pools up to 20’ x 40’. For larger pools, additional BCone units may be required.
Will it work with an automatic cleaner, or water features?
Automatic cleaners and water features may interfere with BCone’s operation and could trigger false alarms. For best results, install the unit away from strong water movement and reduce sensitivity if needed. Performance may vary depending on conditions.
When should I replace the battery?
Home Unit battery: Rechargeable; no need to replace.
Pool Unit battery: Lasts up to 12 months and can be easily replaced with 2 standard AA alkaline batteries. For best performance, it's recommended to use Lifebuoy AA batteries.
What is the range of the system?
Pool unit can typically be 100′ from the home unit. Install the home unit on the nearest wall and avoid obstacles between both units to improve range.
Will it work with a solar cover?
No, BCone will not work properly with solar cover.
Can the BCone work without WiFi?
BCone can function without Wi-Fi for local alarms. However, Wi-Fi is required to access the BCone App for remote control, notifications, and settings adjustments.
